Jody Garcia, PE
Owner and Chief Engineer
Born and raised in New Mexico, Jody has been part of the engineering and construction inspection community since he was a kid. His father was a partner in the Santa Fe firm, Tierra Engineering. Back then, blueprints were really blue and Jody ran his share of them.
Jody’s engineering academic pursuits started at CNM (then TVI) and ended with a M.S. degree in civil engineering with a focus on water resources.
He spent the last 25 years working for local engineering firms becoming an expert in water and wastewater projects for small communities in New Mexico. He has extensive experience in water systems engineering, engineering reports, oversight of production schedules, construction inspection, funding mechanisms, and quality management of water resources deliverables. He has spent some portion of his career in every part of the engineering process. He has logged countless miles all over our great state to act on behalf of dozens of rural communities for the benefit of their water systems.
In November of 2024 he launched Community Water Engineering, LLC. Having grown up watching his father run his own firm, it has always been his dream to do the same. He is deeply committed to the integrity of New Mexico’s infrastructure as he believes it to be a cornerstone of every community and a key component to our ability to thrive.
